'She's a victim of her own poor choices': Family of doctor mom-of-three does NOT deserve compensation after she died of a cocaine overdose on a night out partying in NYC, says her drug dealer's lawyer
A doctor and mother-of-three who died from a cocaine overdose in a drug dealer's apartment was a 'victim of her own poor choices,' a New York court has been told.
Dermatologist Dr Kiersten Cerveny, 38, (top and bottom right) died after a night of partying with dealer James 'Pepsi' Holder and HBO executive Marc Henry Johnson. The two dragged Cerveny's body away from the apartment and anonymously called 911 before fleeing. Holder, 61, (bottom left) has already pleaded guilty to distributing drugs from his Manhattan apartment, but yesterday a judge said he needed more time to decide whether Cerveny's was legally a 'victim'. Her family will not be able to sue unless she is ruled to be a victim of Holder. Holder's lawyer has argued Cerveny's family should not be entitled to compensation from him.
