إقدام ناشطات نسويات على كتابات بعض الكلمات أو العبارات على أجسادهن وخلع ملابسهن من أجل لفت النظر إلى بعض القضايا أو الدفاع عن قضايا أخرى ليس بجديد.
لكن ما قامت به أكاديمية بريطانية فاق ذلك وتحول إلى سابقة في هذا المجال.
فقد قامت الدكتورة فيكتوريا بايتمان التي تعارض خروج بريطانيا من الاتحاد الأوروبي، معروف اختصاراً ببريكسيت، بكتابة عدد من الكلمات التي تتعلق بالبريكسيت على جسدها وخلع ملابسها من أجل كسب مزيد من الاهتمام ولفت الانظار. وقامت ايضا بنشر مقاطع فيديو لمحاضرتها عبر صفتحها على تويتر.
وقفت الأكاديمية بايتمان، التي تدرس الاقتصاد في جامعة كامبرديج البريطانية العريقة، أمام العشرات من الطلبة وزملائها من الأكاديميين والحضور تتحدث إليهم وهي عارية تماما تتحدث عن الآثار السلبية على مختلف مناحي الحياة في بريطانيا.
وهذه الأكاديمية هي ليست الوحيدة التي تعارض بريكسيت بل أن أغلب الجامعات والأكاديميين البريطانيين يعارضونه بشدة

Bateman read economics at Cambridge University, before receiving her masters and doctorate degrees from Oxford. She is known for her naked protest against the exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union, (Brexit).[2][3] She is an advocate of the recognition by economists of the economic value of the sex trade and the right of women to earn their living by prostitution.[4][5] She famously posed nude for a life size portrait by Anthony Connolly.[6]
On 14 January 2019, Bateman delivered an hour-long lecture against Brexit at the Cambridge Junction while naked,[7] then asked the audience to sign her body as a petition
