حقق السباح التونسى أسامة الملولى الميدالية الذهبية لسباق 10 كم متر، بعدما قطع مسافة السباق في زمن قدره ساعة و49 دقيقة و55.1 ثانية.
وحل الألماني توماس لورز فى المركز الثاني، وحصل على الميدالية الفضية، بعدما قطع مسافة السباق في زمن ساعة و49 دقيقة و58..5، بينما جاء الكندي ريتشارد ونبرجر في المركز الثالث وحقق البرونزية بعدما قطع السباق في زمن قدره ساعة و50 دقيقة و00.3.
وكان الملولي بطل 2008 قد منح تونس أول ميدالية في لندن، بعدما احتل المركز الثالث ليحصل على برونزية سباق 1500 متر حرة.
وتعتبر ذهبية المولوي هي ثاني ذهبيات العرب باوليمبياد لندن بعد ذهبية الجزائري توفيق مخلوفي التي أحرزها بعد فوزة في سباق 1500 متر .

He is a three-time Olympic medalist, is an African record holder, and trains with the USC Trojans team based at the University of Southern California, where he went to school and swam collegiately.
Oussama Mellouli became the 1500 m freestyle World champion at the 2009 World Aquatics Championships with a winning time of 14:37.28, then the second best performance of all time. Mellouli is the gold medalist in the 1500 freestyle at the 2008 Olympics. Mellouli tested positive in a 2006 drug test, after which his performances in the 2007 World Championships were nullified.
Biography
Born in Tunis, Mellouli left Tunisia at the age of 15 to study at the College of Rampart in Marseille, France. After his graduation, he continued his studies at the University of Southern California and swam for the USC Trojans. He is a scholarship holder with the Olympic Solidarity program.
2012
Mellouli won 2 medals ( 1 gold in the 10km marathon[4]and 1 bronze in the 1500m freestyle ) at the 2012 Summer Olympics held in London, UK. He became the first person to win medals in both pool and open-water swimming in the same Olympics.
